Five Star Star San Sanitizer, 128 oz Jug

Star San from Five Star Chemicals is a concentrated, acid-based no-rinse sanitizer for beer, wine, cider and distilling equipment. Its high-foaming formula helps the sanitizer reach into fittings, tubing and other tight spaces where proper sanitation matters.

The 128 oz (3.78 L) jug is a practical size for active homebrewers, clubs and small breweries that go through sanitizer regularly. At the recommended dilution, one jug makes up to 640 US gallons, or approximately 2,420 litres, of sanitizing solution.

How to Use Star San

1. Clean the equipment thoroughly before sanitizing. Star San is a sanitizer, not a cleaner.
2. Mix 1 oz of Star San with 5 US gallons of water. This works out to approximately 6 mL per litre.
3. Apply the solution by soaking, spraying, wiping or circulating it through the equipment.
4. Allow at least 1 to 2 minutes of contact time.
5. Drain the equipment, but do not rinse.

The foam does not need to be rinsed away when Star San is mixed according to the directions.
